at the start of the summer i had visions of a slow, somewhat uneventful next few months. 

much to my surprise, it has been everything but that. 

it has been go go go. sometimes good going, sometimes bad going.

after starting a new job, taking multiple journeys to my best friends house alone, & long drives to visit family in georgia, saying goodbye to an uncle & getting to see some loves after three years, i have mixed feelings about school starting.

I'm so very ready to get back into classes, but i always slightly mourn the loss of the freedom of summertime.

conundrum II

I don't do self-portraits too often, but the other day i found myself in my backyard with camera on tripod & humid air in my lungs...and decided it was time to take a few in continuation of [this series]

first signs of fruiting(!!):

it's so exciting to see something i started from seed begin to blossom!

It's already mid-June & i still feel like Spring just arrived. 

i've decided that i'm just going to have to start ignoring the existence of time & just...go with it more, 'cause the fact that it "flies" by so quickly in life is really starting to freak me out.

my best friend is getting married in a month & a half:

It still feels weird to spend my first summer out of my parents house, & i miss them all the time:
